During the week of November 6 to 12 The Mantecado Gastronomic Week has taken place. Numerous activities such as tastings, recipe contest, blood donor marathon … they have been held throughout the province with the aim of promoting our most traditional sweet. And as expected in Dulces La Ponderosa we have also lived very intensely these days.
Visits to our factory
Prior to the week of the mantecado, we received a visit from Government Delegate, Antonio Sanz . That, in addition to meeting with all businessmen in the sector, he paid a visit to our facilities together with Mayor Antonio Jesús Muñoz and his government team. He was able to see in person what our production process is like, our raw materials and savor some of our specialties .
Once the big week has started, South Channel chose our factory to teach all Andalusians the manufacturing process of our mantecados and polvorones . Our almonds, 100% Spanish, are the raw material par excellence in our factory. Thanks to them, our homemade polvorones have an unbeatable flavor. Among the mantecados, our star is the cinnamon and sesame mantecado, although every year we innovate with new flavors: raisins, walnuts … Among the entire sector we hope to produce some 22 million kilos , of which we export 5% .
Sweetly supportive
At Dulces La Ponderosa we wanted to do our bit in the fight against childhood cancer. Our staff has collaborated by buying the doll “baby pelones” . A doll that was born thanks to the Juegaterapia Foundation to honor children with cancer, where the raised money with its sale it goes to the National Cancer Research Center (CNIO).

Christmas is just around the corner! This year we have had the help of the great Estepeño designer and decorator, Javier Garcia , which helped us to make our store that beautiful.
